Author Guidelines

Africa Theological Journal welcomes contributions of theological interest relevant in Africa.

We expect that submissions aim at high academic standards in terms of topic, contents, methodology, relevance, focus, coherence, avoidance of plagiarism, and other relevant aspects.

The style of ATJ follows Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition with British English spelling. Free access to CMOS is found, e.g., here: Chicago Manual of Style (Purdue University) For convenient formatting of footnotes and bibliography in the proper style, we want to inform about the possibility of using research assistant tools for organising and referencing to literature, e.g., Zotero.

For biblical references, we follow the SBL style guide. Free access to SBL style guide is found, e.g., here: SBL style guide (University Northwestern - St. Paul)

All articles need a title, 4-6 keywords, abstract, body, bibliography, and any other relevant material.

With the submission of an article the author(s) have to send a short biographical note about each author.
